about

Exploring the gentrification of technology over the last 50 years, 1201_Alarm's first album Hello_World took over 3 years to make. Starting with interviews with some of the worlds leading scientists and free thinkers including James Randi, Dr Aleks Krotoski, Dr Helen Czerski, Prof Winfried Hensinger and Prof Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi, the album explores technology and its effects on us all in the 21st century.

With guest artists Dr Helen Czerski (Theremini), Prof Jim Al Khalili (Guitar), Libby Jackson (UK Space Agency) (Oboe), Prof Marcus Du Sautoy (trumpet), Isla Cummings (Percussion), Gemma Chuch (Percussion), Steve Pretty (Hackney Colliery Band) (Trumpet), Dr Anna Ploszajski (Trumpet), Adrian Woodward (Hang), Prof Richard Feynman (Bongos).

Track 4 is a double groove record. What you hear depends on where the needle lands. (tracks not on CD or download. Exclusive to vinyl).
